The C.E.L.L., (the Learning Centre based in Coventry Mail Centre), closed at the end of October 2010.
It had been proposed that The C.E.L.L. would relocate to a new home in a Royal Mail Delivery Office, possibly in Nuneaton or Leamington Spa, possibly re-opening early 2011.
This week discussions took place between the CWU, Unite and Royal Mail with a view to deciding the future location of the C.E.L.L. Those discussions were extremely positive and productive and it is hoped that all parties will be in a position to launch a mobile lifelong learning package for CWU members in Royal Mail in the Coventry & Warwickshire area within the next couple of months.
Additionally both Unite and the CWU are examining the further possibility of opening up a static joint learning centre, (the C.E.L.L.), in a non Royal Mail location in Coventry in the next few months.
Therefore both CWU and Unite are hopeful that we will be in a position to be able lifelong learning to CWU members in Coventry & Warwickshire once again in the next few months!
More details of both of these learning ventures will be published as further progress is made in the coming months.
